Melbourne Fringe Festival applications are open.

After a sold-out 2025 Fringe and 318+ performances at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Trainscendence is back as a breathing hub for creatives — comedians, performers, musicians, weirdos and visionaries — to showcase their work.

Seven themed rooms across ten floors. Two trains on the roof. A built-in audience already wired in to the venue. We handle the bar, the front of house, the room turnaround — you bring the show.

Why we exist

A festival in the city, every day.

Dreamed up by Harley Hefford and Luke Thomas in 2025 — a creative home for the curious, the collaborative and the just-passing-through. Ten floors in Collingwood, designed for everyone who walks in to leave a little more inspired than when they arrived.

Coworking, workshops, classes, parties, game nights, live music, comedy. One of Melbourne's most distinctive venues — and we're only just getting started.
