TAKEE is an Australian indie-pop artist based in Melbourne, known for his emotionally charged songwriting, versatile musicality, and captivating stage presence.
Following the catastrophic cosmic collision of Earth and the planet Zaaro, a strange temporal anomaly strikes the newly merged world of Zeartho every single year on August 8th. This is no ordinary day; it marks Takee’s birthday and the alignment of the infamous Lion’s Gate Portal.
On this specific night, the opening of the celestial portal forces the atmospheric Nero gas to turn a deep, glowing neon purple. As the cosmic energy peaks, a legendary alien relic reactivates: The Train on the Roof.
Originally an interdimensional transit vessel used to cross timelines, this train was fused directly into the architecture of a three-story outpost in Collingwood during the planetary impact. For 364 days a year, it sits completely dormant. But under the roaring Leo sky of August 8th, the train’s engines blast back to life, charging the air with static electricity. The train acts as a cosmic beacon, casting a massive purple beam across the city, signaling to every lost survivor, star-child, and galactic entity that it is time to trainscend the ordinary.
Step directly inside the vessel’s main decompression chamber, where you will find an indoor sky completely blanketed by thick, floating cosmic clouds. This dream-like room traps the purple stage lights, creating an immersive playground where the floor is lined with textured terrain patches to keep you grounded while the music vibrates through the walls.
THE DRESS CODE: Lion’s Gate Portal & Zodiac Madness
Because the Train on the Roof is opening the portal to alternate dimensions, the spatial distortion requires everyone to board the vessel in creative attire to stay anchored to our timeline. Get as creative, fierce, and cosmic as possible:
Cosmic Royalty (Leo Energy): Lean into the Lion’s Gate alignment. Think celestial gold, majestic capes, fierce lion-esque accessories, crowns made of stardust, and royal galactic attire.
Zodiac Anomalies: Come as a personification of your own star sign—or an entirely made-up, mutated constellation from the planet Zaaro. Cyberpunk Scorpios, ethereal neon Geminis, and space-armored Taureans are all welcome.

Walk one street east to Budd Street, turn left and look for the laneway “Rolling Stock Laneway”, and follow it in. Enter through the Trainscendence archway on the left.
