Numbers in. Targets hit. Now what.

The EOFY party venue Melbourne teams actually remember

You smashed the year. Don't mark it with another dry-roasted-canapé night above a city pub. Two vintage Hitachi train carriages on a Collingwood rooftop, six bars, seven themed rooms — and bar minimums that work harder than your Q4 numbers did.

Bar minimums from $1,000 · June weeknights · capacity 60-400
End of financial year is the one night your team genuinely earned. After twelve months of standups, sprint reviews, board reports and the tax-time scramble, the celebration shouldn't be an afterthought booked the week before. Trainscendence works for EOFY because June weeknights are still wide open, the bar-minimum model means your spend turns directly into drinks for the team (not venue hire), and an in-house event host runs the night so HR can finally let go of the spreadsheet.
  • June weeknights have great availability — easier to book late than November/December
  • Bar minimums from $1,000 — your spend goes to actual drinks, not "venue hire" line items
  • Standing capacity 60 to 400 depending on room — works for a 30-person finance team or a 300-person all-hands
  • AV in every room — projector, mic, screens for the year-in-review slideshow
  • In-house event host runs awards, speeches, and the room — your office manager gets the night off
  • Two vintage train carriages on the rooftop — better team photos than the same office backdrop everyone's seen
Common questions

Things people ask

How much does a EOFY party at Trainscendence cost?
There's no flat venue-hire fee — instead we use a bar minimum spend that varies by room and night. Weeknights start at $1,000 (small themed rooms) and scale up to $5,000+ for the whole rooftop on a Saturday. Whatever your guests drink at the bar counts toward that minimum, so for most EOFY partys of 50+ people, the minimum is hit naturally and there's effectively no venue cost on top.
How many people can come?
Depends on which space. The whole rooftop fits 120 standing. A single themed room fits 60-100. Whole-venue takeovers fit up to 400. Tell us your headcount in the enquiry and we'll suggest the right fit.
Is EOFY entertainment tax-deductible?
Generally yes if it's for staff and reasonable in cost — but the rules around FBT and entertainment expenses are nuanced and depend on your structure. We're a venue, not accountants. The ATO has guidance and your bookkeeper will know your situation. Worth a 5-minute call before you book.
Can we run awards, speeches or a year-in-review on screen?
Yes — every room has its own AV. Drop us your slide deck a week out and we'll have it loaded and ready. Roving mic, lectern, and our event host as MC are all available. Tell us in the brief what formal bits you want to run.
Can we have food?
Yes — three options. (1) Our preferred external caterer Fabulous Catering delivers to the venue, invoiced separately. (2) Some rooms allow you to BYO platters or order pizzas in. (3) For larger or curated events, we can arrange custom canapés and drinks packages. We'll talk options based on your event.
Can we decorate the room?
Yes, within reason. No nails in walls or anything that damages the rooms (which all already have a lot of personality). Balloons, flowers, photo backdrops, custom signage — totally fine. Confetti — please ask first because we've had cleanup adventures.
How do I get there from the city?
We're on Easey Street in Collingwood, a 15-minute Uber from the CBD or a short walk from Collingwood station (Mernda/Hurstbridge lines). Look up at the back of Easey Street — you'll see two trains on the rooftop. That's us.
