We keep it simple for whoever's organising: pick a package, give us a headcount and a date, and we handle the bar, the canapés (via our catering partner), and an event host who runs the night. You stay a guest, not the project manager.

How much is a work Christmas party at Trainscendence?
We keep it simple with all-inclusive, per-guest packages (incl. GST): Platform from $95pp (4-hour drinks + 6 canapés), First Class $125pp (5-hour premium drinks + 8 canapés — our most popular), and Platinum $150pp (welcome cocktail, premium drinks, 10 canapés + a grazing table). Prefer to run it on a bar tab instead? We can also do a straight room hire with a bar minimum spend — just tell us what suits.
How many people can come?
A single train carriage and its patio fits up to 70 standing. Take both carriages — the whole rooftop — for up to 130. For bigger end-of-year events, a full-venue takeover across all seven themed rooms holds up to 350. Tell us your headcount in the enquiry and we will recommend the right fit.
What's included in the packages?
Exclusive use of your space, your drinks package poured at our in-house bar, a canapé selection delivered and served, all the staff to run the bar, and an event host to keep the night moving. Catering is handled by our partner Fabulous Catering, so the food is sorted in the one booking.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Our catering partner Fabulous offers vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free canapés and platters, so everyone on the team is looked after. Just flag numbers and requirements when you confirm.
When should we book for November or December?
As early as you can. Corporate Christmas-party season peaks in Nov–Dec and the best weeknights book out by September–October. Even a rough date and headcount lets us hold a night for you while you confirm the details.
What happens if it rains — is the rooftop covered?
The train carriages are enclosed and comfortable in any weather; the patios around them are open-air. If the weather turns, the party simply moves inside the carriages — your event runs rain or shine.
Can we just do drinks, with no food?
Absolutely. If you would rather skip the package, we can do a room hire on a bar minimum spend — whatever your guests drink at the bar counts toward it. For most work parties of a decent size, the minimum is reached naturally.
Where are you, and how does the team get there?
We're at 5-6/48 Easey Street, Collingwood — about a 10–15 minute Uber from the Melbourne CBD, a short walk from Collingwood station. There's street parking around Easey and Budd Streets.
