How much is a work Christmas party at Trainscendence?＋
We keep it simple with drinks + venue packages priced per guest (incl. GST). Platform is beer, wine and cider only — $55pp (3hr), $65pp (4hr), $75pp (5hr). Business Class adds premium beers and mixed drinks — $75pp (3hr), $90pp (4hr), $105pp (5hr) — and is our most popular corporate package. First Class is the full bar menu including cocktails, spritzes, sparkling and a welcome drink — $100pp (3hr), $120pp (4hr), $140pp (5hr). Food is separate — bring your own caterer or pick from our recommended partners.
What's actually included in each drinks tier?＋
Platform is our house tap beer, curated wine (red, white, sparkling), and Aussie cider. No spirits. Business Class adds premium bottled beers (Peroni, Corona, local craft) and mixed drinks with house spirits (G&Ts, vodka sodas, rum & coke, whisky ginger). First Class is the whole rooftop menu — everything above plus cocktails (spritzes, negronis, margaritas, espresso martinis), sparkling upgrades, and a welcome cocktail served on arrival. Every tier is unlimited within its range for the full duration. House pours are the default; premium spirits available on request.
How many people can come?＋
A single train carriage and its patio fits up to 70 standing. Take both carriages — the whole rooftop — for up to 130. For bigger end-of-year events, a full-venue takeover across all seven themed rooms holds up to 350. Tell us your headcount in the enquiry and we will recommend the right fit.
What's included in the packages beyond drinks?＋
Exclusive use of your space for the length of the package, your drinks package poured at our in-house bar (unlimited within the package tier), all the bar staff, and an event host to keep the night moving. Food is arranged separately — either bring your own caterer or use one of our recommended partners (we introduce you, they invoice you direct).
Can you cater for dietary requirements?＋
Because catering is separate, dietaries are handled by whichever caterer you choose — which is actually much more flexible than a bundled package. Bring the caterer that suits your team best (halal, kosher, vegan-only, gluten-free specialists — all easy to find and work with). Can you organise entertainment — DJs, performers, dancers?＋
Yes, and it's easy. We work with a network of DJs, live musicians, dancers, drag and cabaret performers, roving acts and photo-booth operators, and can arrange whatever suits your team's vibe as a simple add-on to your booking. Prefer to bring your own DJ or act? They're welcome too — each space has its own sound system. Just tell us what you're after in your enquiry and we'll handle the bookings.
When should we book for November or December?＋
As early as you can. Corporate Christmas-party season peaks in Nov–Dec and the best weeknights book out by September–October. Even a rough date and headcount lets us hold a night for you while you confirm the details.
What happens if it rains — is the rooftop covered?＋
The train carriages are enclosed and comfortable in any weather; the patios around them are open-air. If the weather turns, the party simply moves inside the carriages — your event runs rain or shine.
Can we just do drinks, with no food?＋
Yes — that is actually the default setup. Our packages are drinks + venue only. If you want food you arrange it separately (bring your caterer, or pick from our recommended partners). For a lot of after-work parties, cocktail events and shorter functions, drinks + venue is all you need. Simpler for you, and you keep full flexibility on food.
What if the party runs long — can we extend on the night?＋
If you book a 3hr or 4hr package and want to keep going, we can usually extend at the same per-hour rate as your tier (subject to venue availability and staff cover on the night). Best to flag it early with your event host so we can arrange bar cover — but yes, we can usually make it happen.
Where are you, and how does the team get there?＋
We're at 5-6/48 Easey Street, Collingwood — about a 10–15 minute Uber from the Melbourne CBD, a short walk from Collingwood station, and an easy hop from the Cremorne and Richmond tech offices. There's street parking around Easey and Budd Streets. Look up for the two trains on the roof — that's us.
